Product Description
The M84249 Peer is a removable cone designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing, consisting of the inner ring and rollers. When combined with a separately available cup, it forms a complete tapered roller bearing with conical raceways and tapered rollers to absorb radial and axial forces. Its geometry prevents sliding movements, minimizing component wear, although a minimum load is required for proper operation. The separable cone and cup allow for easy mounting and axial adjustment during assembly. For reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup together from the same manufacturer to avoid bearing problems caused by differences in internal bearing profiles, materials, and tolerances.
