Product Description
The M88043 Timken is a removable cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing, forming the inner ring and rollers. Paired with a separate cup, it creates a complete tapered roller bearing capable of handling radial and axial forces. The design prevents sliding between the raceways and rollers, minimizing wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load, and the separable cone and cup allow for easy mounting and adjustment of axial clearance or preload. For reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace the cone and cup together and use components from the same manufacturer to avoid bearing problems caused by differences in internal profiles, material, and tolerances.
