Product Description
The HM903249 Timken is a cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing. It contains the inner ring and rollers, and when paired with a compatible cup, forms a complete bearing that can withstand radial and axial forces in one direction. Tapered roller bearings prevent sliding movements, minimizing wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load, and the separable cone and cup allow for easy mounting, as well as axial clearance or preload adjustments during assembly. For reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace both cone and cup at the same time and to use components from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems.
