Product Description
The Timken HM804840 is a cone component of a single-row tapered roller bearing, which includes the inner ring and rollers. When combined with a compatible cup (or outer ring), it forms a complete bearing capable of handling radial and axial forces in one direction. The conical raceways and tapered rollers prevent sliding movements, minimizing wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load, and the separable cone and cup can be easily mounted and adjusted for axial clearance. For optimal performance, it is recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time and to use components from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems.
