Product Description
The 66585 Timken is a removable cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing. This cone consists of the inner ring and rollers and, along with a separately available cup, makes up a complete tapered roller bearing that can absorb radial and axial forces. The design prevents sliding movements between the raceways and rollers, minimizing wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load, and the cone and cup can be easily mounted and adjusted for end play or preload during assembly. For reliable operation, it is recommended to replace the cone and cup at the same time and use components from the same manufacturer to prevent bearing problems caused by differences in internal bearing profiles, materials, and tolerances. Always pair the 66585 Timken with a matching cup from the same manufacturer.
