Product Description
The 663 Timken is a cone designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing. This removable cone includes the inner ring and rollers of the bearing, forming a complete bearing when paired with a separately available cup (outer ring). Tapered roller bearings are designed with conical raceways and tapered rollers to effectively absorb radial and axial forces in one direction. Their design minimizes sliding movements, reducing component wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load, and the separable cone and cup allow for easy mounting and axial adjustment. For optimal performance, it’s advisable to replace both the cone and cup simultaneously and to use components from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems caused by differences in internal profiles, materials, and tolerances.
