Product Description
The 6424 Timken is an outer ring cup designed for use with a separately available cone to create a complete tapered roller bearing. With conical raceways and roller elements, this bearing can withstand radial and axial forces. Its design minimizes sliding, reducing wear, but requires a minimum load for proper operation. The separable cone and cup allow for easy assembly and adjustment of axial clearance or preload. For reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace both cone and cup at the same time and to use components from the same manufacturer. Always pair the 6424 Timken with a matching cone from the same manufacturer for optimal performance.
