Product Description
The 580 Bower is a removable cone used for a single-row tapered roller bearing, consisting of the inner ring and rollers. When paired with a separate cup (or outer ring), it forms a complete tapered roller bearing, designed to absorb radial and axial forces in one direction. The geometry of tapered roller bearings minimizes sliding movements to reduce component wear, but requires a minimum load for proper operation. The separable cone and cup allow for easy mounting and adjustment of axial clearance or preload during assembly. For optimal performance, it is recommended to replace both the cone and cup simultaneously, and to use components from the same manufacturer to prevent potential bearing problems.
