Product Description
The 5755 Timken is a removable cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing, consisting of the inner ring and rollers. When paired with a separate outer ring (cup), it creates a complete tapered roller bearing capable of absorbing radial and axial forces in one direction. The design prevents sliding movements, reducing component wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load, and the separable cone and cup allow for easy mounting and adjustment of axial clearance or preload. For reliable operation, it’s best to replace the cone and cup together from the same manufacturer to prevent bearing problems caused by differences in internal bearing profiles, material, and tolerances. Always use the 5755 Timken with a matching cup from the same manufacturer.
