Product Description
The 4T-12580 NTN is a cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing, which includes the inner ring and rollers, and can be combined with a separately available cup to form a complete bearing. Tapered roller bearings are designed to withstand radial and axial forces in one direction and minimize component wear, although a minimum load is required for proper operation. The separable cone and cup can be easily mounted and adjusted for axial clearance or preload. For reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, and to use components from the same manufacturer to avoid bearing problems.
