Product Description
The 497 A&S – Fersa is a removable cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing, consisting of the inner ring and rollers. When combined with a separate cup, these parts form a complete tapered roller bearing capable of handling radial and axial forces in one direction. The geometry of tapered roller bearings prevents wear, but requires a minimum load for proper operation. The separable cone and cup enable easy mounting and adjustment of axial clearance or preload. For reliable operation, it’s best to replace the cone and cup together and use components from the same manufacturer to prevent bearing problems. Always pair the 497 A&S – Fersa with a matching cup from the same manufacturer.
