Product Description
The 49151 Timken is a removable cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing, including the inner ring and rollers. It can be paired with a separately available cup to form a complete tapered roller bearing. The conical raceways and tapered rollers allow the bearing to absorb radial and axial forces in one direction, minimizing component wear. The separable cone and cup are easy to mount and allow for adjustable axial clearance or preload during assembly. For optimal performance, it is recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time and to use components from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems.
