The 441 Timken is a cone specifically designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing, serving as the inner ring and rollers of the bearing. When combined with a separately available cup (or outer ring), these parts create a complete tapered roller bearing that can handle radial and axial forces in one direction. The design of the cone and cup minimizes component wear and allows for adjustability in axial clearance or preload during assembly. For reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, choosing components from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems.
