Product Description
The 438 Bower is a removable inner ring and roller cone used in a single-row tapered roller bearing. When paired with a separate outer ring (cup), it forms a complete tapered roller bearing. Its conical raceways and tapered rollers enable it to effectively handle radial and axial forces. The design minimizes sliding movements between the components, reducing wear. Proper operation requires a minimum load, and the separable cone and cup can be easily mounted and adjusted for axial clearance or preload during assembly. For optimal performance, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time and use components from the same manufacturer to prevent bearing problems.
