Product Description
The 42584 Timken is an outer ring for a single-row tapered roller bearing. It can be combined with a separate cone to create a complete bearing. With conical raceways and rollers, this design allows the bearing to handle both radial and axial forces in one direction. The angled design also increases its axial load capacity. The separation of the cone and cup allows for easy assembly and adjustment of axial clearance or preload. To ensure reliable operation, it’s best to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, using components from the same manufacturer to prevent compatibility issues.
