Product Description
The 38880-X0266 Timken is a removable cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing, consisting of the inner ring and rollers. When paired with a compatible cup (outer ring), it forms a complete tapered roller bearing. This design allows it to absorb radial and axial forces in one direction. Its geometry prevents sliding movements, minimizing wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load, and the separable cone and cup can be easily mounted and adjusted for end play or preload. For reliable operation, it’s best to replace the cone and cup together, preferably from the same manufacturer to prevent potential bearing problems.
