Product Description
The 3776A Bower is a removable cone component for a single-row tapered roller bearing, comprising the inner ring and rollers. In combination with a separate cup, this cone creates a complete tapered roller bearing with conical raceways on the inner and outer rings, and tapered rollers, allowing it to withstand radial and axial forces in one direction.
Tapered roller bearings have a unique design to minimize component wear and require a minimum load for proper operation. The separable cone and cup facilitate easy mounting and adjustment of axial clearance or preload. For optimal performance, it is recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, ensuring they are from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems.
