Product Description
The 3196 Bower is a removable cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing, consisting of the inner ring and rollers. When combined with a separately available cup, it forms a complete tapered roller bearing that can absorb radial and axial forces in one direction. The design minimizes sliding movements between the raceways and rollers and requires a minimum load for operation. With separable components, it’s easy to mount and adjust end play or preload during assembly. For reliable operation, it’s best to replace both the cone and cup at the same time and use components from the same manufacturer to prevent bearing problems. Always pair the 3196 Bower with a matching cup from the same manufacturer.
