Product Description
The 28579 Timken is the inner ring and rollers of a single-row tapered roller bearing. This cone, along with a separate cup, forms a complete tapered roller bearing. Its design helps it withstand radial and axial forces in one direction, with conical raceways on the inner and outer rings and tapered rollers. This minimizes wear and allows for easy assembly and adjustment of axial clearance or preload. For reliable operation, it’s best to replace both the cone and cup simultaneously from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems.
