Product Description
The 27680 Timken is a cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing, which consists of the inner ring and rollers of the bearing. When combined with a separately available cup (or outer ring), it creates a complete tapered roller bearing that can absorb radial and axial forces. Its design minimizes sliding movements, reducing wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load, and the cone and cup can be easily mounted and adjusted for end play or preload. For reliable operation, it’s best to replace the cone and cup together, preferably from the same manufacturer to prevent bearing problems. Always use the 27680 Timken with a matching cup from the same manufacturer for optimal performance.
