Product Description
The 2720 Timken is an outer ring cup designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing. It can be paired with a separately available cone to form a complete tapered roller bearing, capable of absorbing radial and axial forces in one direction. The design features conical raceways and roller elements, preventing sliding and minimizing wear. The separable cone and cup can be easily mounted and adjusted for end play or preload during assembly. For reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, and to use components from the same manufacturer to prevent bearing problems.
