Product Description
The 15244X Timken is an outer ring cup designed for use with a single-row tapered roller bearing. When combined with a separately available cone, it forms a complete tapered roller bearing with conical raceways and roller elements. This design allows the bearing to absorb radial and axial forces in one direction. Tapered roller bearings prevent sliding movements between the raceways and rollers, minimizing wear. The separable cone and cup can be easily mounted and adjusted for axial clearance or preload. For reliable operation, it is best to replace the cone and cup at the same time and use components from the same manufacturer to avoid bearing problems.
