Product Description
The 05075X Timken is a cone designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing. It consists of the inner ring and rollers of the bearing and can be paired with a separately available cup to form a complete tapered roller bearing. Its conical raceways and tapered rollers allow it to effectively absorb radial and axial forces in one direction.
The design of tapered roller bearings minimizes sliding movements between the raceways and rollers, reducing component wear. However, proper bearing operation requires a minimum load. The separable cone and cup make for simple mounting and allow for adjustment of end play or preload by moving the components axially during assembly.
For reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time and to use components from the same manufacturer to prevent potential bearing problems caused by differences in internal bearing profiles, material, and tolerances. Always pair the 05075X Timken with a matching cup from the same manufacturer.
