Product Description
The 4T-28990 NTN is a cone component of a single-row tapered roller bearing, which includes the inner ring and rollers. It needs to be paired with a separate cup (outer ring) to form a complete bearing. Its conical raceways and tapered rollers allow it to handle radial and axial forces in one direction. The design minimizes sliding movements and wear between components, but it requires a minimum load for optimal performance. The separable cone and cup make mounting and adjusting end play or preload easy. For reliable operation, it’s best to replace both the cone and cup simultaneously from the same manufacturer to prevent bearing problems caused by any differences in the components.
