Product Description
The HM88542 Koyo (JTEKT) is a cone designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing. It includes the inner ring and rollers and is used with a separately available cup to create a complete tapered roller bearing. The conical raceways of the inner and outer rings, along with tapered rollers, enable the bearing to handle radial and axial forces. The design reduces sliding movements, minimizing wear, and requires a minimum load for optimal operation. The separable cone and cup make mounting and adjusting axial clearance easy. For reliable performance, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, and to use components from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing issues.
