Product Description
The 1986 Bower is the inner ring and rollers of a single-row tapered roller bearing. It can be paired with a separately available cup to form a complete bearing, capable of handling radial and axial forces in one direction. The conical raceways and tapered rollers prevent sliding and minimize wear, though a minimum load is required for proper operation. The cone and cup are separable and easily mounted, allowing for axial clearance and preload adjustments. For optimal performance, it’s best to replace both components at the same time and use parts from the same manufacturer to avoid bearing problems.
