Upgrade to the 566 NTN cone to complete your single-row tapered roller bearing. This removable cone includes the inner ring and rollers, and pairs with a separate cup to form a full tapered roller bearing. With conical raceways on the inner and outer rings and tapered rollers, this design allows the bearing to handle both radial and axial forces. The geometric features of tapered roller bearings prevent sliding, reducing component wear. It’s important to apply a minimum load for optimal performance. As the cone and cup are separable, they can be easily mounted and adjusted for axial clearance or preload. To ensure reliable operation, it’s best to replace both the cone and cup at the same time and choose components from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems. Always pair the 566 NTN with a matching cup from the same manufacturer.
