Product Description
The 45290 NTN is a single-row tapered roller bearing cone that includes the inner ring and rollers. When used with a separate cup, it creates a complete tapered roller bearing with conical raceways and tapered rollers that can withstand radial and axial forces in one direction.
The design of the tapered roller bearing prevents sliding between the raceways and rollers, minimizing wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load. The separable cone and cup allow for easy mounting and adjustments to axial clearance or preload during assembly.
For reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup simultaneously from the same manufacturer to prevent potential bearing problems caused by differences in profiles, material, and tolerances. Always pair the 45290 NTN with a matching cup from the same manufacturer.
