Product Description
The A6157 NTN is an outer ring cup designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing, which, when combined with a separately available cone, forms a complete tapered roller bearing. Its design allows for absorption of radial and axial forces in one direction, with conical raceways on the outer and inner rings and conical roller elements. These qualities prevent sliding movements between the raceways and rollers, minimizing wear on the components. The cup and cone are separable for easy mounting and adjustment of axial clearance or preload during assembly. For reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time and to use components from the same manufacturer to prevent potential bearing problems caused by differences in internal profiles, material, and tolerances.
