Product Description
The 4T-55187 NTN is a removable cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing, comprising the inner ring and rollers. Paired with a separate cup, it forms a complete tapered roller bearing. The conical raceways of the inner and outer rings, along with the tapered rollers, enable the bearing to absorb radial and axial forces in one direction. The design minimizes component wear by preventing sliding movements. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load, and the separable cone and cup allow for easy mounting and adjustment of axial clearance or preload. For reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup simultaneously, using components from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems.
