Product Description
The 2278C Bower is an inner cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing, designed to be used with a separate outer ring to form a complete bearing. Its conical raceways and tapered rollers allow it to handle radial and axial forces effectively. The design minimizes sliding movements, reducing wear and requiring a minimum load for optimal performance. The separable cone and cup make for easy mounting, and the axial clearance can be adjusted during assembly. For best results, replace both the cone and cup simultaneously, and ensure they are from the same manufacturer to prevent compatibility issues.
