Product Description
The 45289 Timken is a cone specifically designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing. It includes the inner ring and rollers of the bearing. Coupled with a separately available cup (or outer ring), these parts create a complete tapered roller bearing that can effectively absorb radial and axial forces (in one direction). The design prevents sliding movements between the raceways and rollers, minimizing wear. Assembly is easy due to the separable cone and cup, and adjustments to axial clearance or preload can be made during assembly. For optimal performance, replace both the cone and cup at the same time, preferably with matching components from the same manufacturer to avoid bearing problems caused by differences in internal profiles, materials, and tolerances.
