Product Description
The M88040 Timken is a cone designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing. This cone includes the inner ring and rollers of the bearing, and can be paired with a separate cup to form a complete tapered roller bearing. With conical raceways on the inner and outer rings and tapered rollers, this design allows the bearing to handle radial and axial forces effectively. Tapered roller bearings are designed to minimize component wear by preventing sliding movements between the raceways and rollers, and require a minimum load for optimal performance. The separable cone and cup can be easily mounted and allow for adjustment of end play or preload during assembly. For reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace the cone and cup together and use matching components from the same manufacturer to avoid bearing problems. Always pair the M88040 Timken with a matching cup from the same manufacturer for best results.
