Product Description
The 2420 Timken is an outer ring cup designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing. It can be paired with a separate cone to create a complete tapered roller bearing that efficiently absorbs radial and axial forces. The tapered geometry reduces sliding and wear between the rolling elements and the raceways. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load, and the cup and cone are easily mounted and adjustable for axial clearance or preload. For best results, it is recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time and use matching components from the same manufacturer to prevent potential bearing problems.
