Product Description
The 24720 Timken is an outer ring component for a single-row tapered roller bearing. When combined with a separately available cone, it forms a complete tapered roller bearing, capable of absorbing radial and axial forces in one direction. The conical raceways and roller elements prevent sliding movements, minimizing component wear. For proper operation, a minimum load is required, and the separable design allows for easy mounting and adjustment of axial clearance or preload. For optimal performance, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup simultaneously and use components from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems.
