Product Description
The 07098PREC.3 Timken is a removable cone designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing. It includes the inner ring and rollers, and when paired with a compatible cup (or outer ring), forms a complete bearing. The conical raceways and tapered rollers allow the bearing to handle radial and axial forces efficiently. These bearings are designed to minimize wear by preventing sliding movements between the raceways and rollers, though they require a minimum load for optimal performance. The separable cone and cup allow for easy installation and adjustment of axial clearance or preload. For best results, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup simultaneously with components from the same manufacturer to prevent potential bearing issues caused by mismatches in profiles, material, and tolerances.
