Product Description
The 1784A Timken is a removable cone designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing. It consists of the inner ring and rollers and can be paired with a separate cup to form a complete bearing. The conical raceways of the inner and outer rings, along with tapered rollers, allow the bearing to handle radial and axial forces. The design minimizes sliding movements between the components to reduce wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load, and the separable cone and cup allow for easy mounting and adjustment of axial clearance. For optimal performance, it is recommended to replace the cone and cup together and to use components from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems.
