Product Description
The 474 Timken is an outer ring cup designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing, which can be combined with a separate cone to create a complete tapered roller bearing. The conical raceways and roller elements allow for absorption of radial and axial forces in one direction. The geometrical design prevents sliding movements, minimizing wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load, and the separable cone and cup are easily mounted, allowing for adjustment of axial clearance or preload. For reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace both cone and cup at the same time and to use components from the same manufacturer for compatibility.
