Product Description
The LM806610 Timken is an outer ring cup designed for use with a single-row tapered roller bearing. When combined with a separately available cone, it forms a complete tapered roller bearing, which can efficiently absorb radial and axial forces in one direction due to its conical raceways and roller elements. Tapered roller bearings prevent sliding movements between the raceways and rollers, minimizing wear, but require a minimum load for proper operation. The separable cone and cup allow for straightforward mounting and adjustment of end play or preload during assembly. For optimal performance and longevity, it is recommended to replace both the cone and cup simultaneously, and to use components from the same manufacturer to prevent potential bearing problems.
