Product Description
The 598 SKF is a removable bearing cone comprising the inner ring and rollers, designed for use with a separate cup to form a complete tapered roller bearing. With conical raceways and tapered rollers, this design allows the bearing to handle radial and axial forces in one direction. The geometry of tapered roller bearings minimizes sliding movements, reducing wear. Adjusting end play or preload and mounting the cone and cup is easy due to their separable nature. For optimal performance, it is recommended to replace both the cone and cup simultaneously and to use components from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems.
