Product Description
The 385AC Timken is a single-row tapered roller bearing cone, consisting of the inner ring and rollers. Along with a separately available cup, they comprise a complete tapered roller bearing, designed to absorb radial and axial forces. The bearing’s design minimizes sliding movements between the raceways and rollers, reducing component wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load, and adjustment of axial clearance or preload is easily achieved during assembly. To ensure reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace the cone and cup simultaneously and to use components from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems caused by differences in internal profiles, material, and tolerances.
