Product Description
The 02878 Timken is a cone designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing, comprising the inner ring and rollers. When combined with a separate cup (outer ring), these parts form a complete tapered roller bearing capable of absorbing radial and axial forces in one direction. The cone and cup have conical raceways and tapered rollers to minimize wear and prevent sliding movements. Adjusting end play or preload is easily achievable during assembly due to the separable nature of these components. For optimal performance, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, preferably from the same manufacturer to prevent potential bearing problems related to different internal profiles, material variations, and tolerances. Always pair the 02878 Timken with a matching cup from the same manufacturer for reliable operation.
