Product Description
The 53162 Timken is a cone designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing, consisting of the inner ring and rollers. When paired with a separately available cup (outer ring), it forms a complete tapered roller bearing. The conical raceways and tapered rollers allow the bearing to absorb radial and axial forces in one direction, reducing component wear. The separable design facilitates easy mounting and adjustment of end play or preload during assembly. For reliable operation, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, from the same manufacturer, to prevent bearing problems.
