Product Description
The 1987 Timken is a cone designed for a single-row tapered roller bearing, consisting of the inner ring and rollers. Used in combination with a separate cup, it forms a complete tapered roller bearing capable of handling radial and axial forces in one direction. Its conical raceways and tapered rollers prevent sliding movements and minimize component wear. The separable cone and cup make for easy mounting, allowing for adjustment of axial clearance and preload during assembly. For optimal performance, it’s recommended to replace both the cone and cup simultaneously and use components from the same manufacturer to avoid potential bearing problems.
