Product Description
The 786 Timken cone is a part of a single-row tapered roller bearing, consisting of the inner ring and rollers. When combined with a separate cup, it forms a complete tapered roller bearing. This design allows the bearing to absorb radial and axial forces in one direction, while reducing component wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load, and the separable cone and cup make mounting and adjusting end play or preload easy. For reliable operation, it is best to replace both the cone and cup at the same time and to use components from the same manufacturer to prevent bearing problems.
