Product Description
The JP6049PREC.C Timken is a removable cone for a single-row tapered roller bearing, composed of the inner ring and rollers. When paired with a separate cup, these components create a complete tapered roller bearing capable of absorbing radial and axial forces. Tapered roller bearings are designed to minimize component wear by preventing sliding movements, but they do require a minimum load for proper operation. The separable cone and cup can be easily mounted and adjusted for axial clearance or preload during assembly. To ensure reliable performance, it is recommended to replace both the cone and cup at the same time, sourced from the same manufacturer to avoid compatibility issues.
