Product Description
The NP556636-20024 Timken is a removable cone component for a single-row tapered roller bearing, consisting of the inner ring and rollers. When paired with a separate cup, these parts create a complete tapered roller bearing. Its design allows for absorption of radial and axial forces in one direction. The geometry of tapered roller bearings prevents sliding movements, minimizing component wear. Proper bearing operation requires a minimum load and the cone and cup are easily mountable and adjustable for end play or preload. For reliable operation, it is best to replace both the cone and cup at the same time and use components from the same manufacturer to avoid bearing problems caused by differences in internal bearing profiles, material, and tolerances.
