Product Description
The GE40-AW-A Elges is an axial spherical plain bearing with a steel-on-PTFE sliding contact, making it maintenance-free. Its construction consists of a shaft washer with a convex surface and a housing washer with a concave inner surface. This design enables high load carrying capacity and the ability to accommodate misalignment. During the run-in period, PTFE particles are deposited on the opposite running surface to create a smooth fit between the components.
